At Melting Butter Studios, we work with select travel, art, design, fashion, and hospitality clients to orchestrate memorable experiences with a focused PR approach, and to craft stories and content centered around creative culture and experiential travel.

TRAVEL CONTENT STUDIO
We believe good storytelling generates earned media. So we craft editorial content that creates an authentic, meaningful dialogue with audiences and inspires them to seek better experiences and travel more.
THE STUDIO
Our creative base is in New York City, and we work with leading tastemakers, creative producers, editors, writers, art directors, and stylists in Los Angeles, London, Amsterdam, Milan, Tokyo, Sydney and Melbourne. Our international team informs our unique global perspective.
RESPONSIBILITIES (STUDIO)
You will serve as Melting Butter’s Founder/Creative Director’s right hand in all agency operations and client projects. You’ll be called on for everything from creative brainstorming, working on pitches, to diving in and managing the production of our events (of course you’ll be asked to represent Melting Butter at the events too). Below are some of the day-to-day tasks you will be called on to complete:
- Event production and management
- Management and coordination of client content projects
- Maintaining our PR and business development contacts database
- Email marketing campaigns
- Developing client status reports
- Maintaining and growing our digital and social presence
- Developing and documenting agency processes to improve efficiencies
RESPONSIBILITIES (EDITORIAL)
You will manage and own the editorial process from pitch to posting and promoting. Day-to-day you’ll be in constant communication with our global stable of contributors ensuring that all the elements of a high quality piece of content have been considered and taken care of. You’ll also get to research and write your own stories for Melting Butter.
Your most important prerogative is to maintain and improve on the high standard of editorial we bring to our readers.
WHAT KIND OF PERSON ARE YOU?
- Familiar with online content publishing tools like WordPress
- Proficient working with Google G-Suite tools
- Passionate about visual and written communication through social media
- Extremely organized, it’s something you pride yourself on and can’t live without!
- You have exquisite taste and you’re ruthless when it comes to knowing what’s good (and most importantly, what isn’t)
- You’re all about aesthetics and style and this reflects in how you present yourself in every aspect of your life
- Travel, food, art, fashion and music are the things that make you happy
REMUNERATION & REQUIREMENTS
- Based in New York City, available to work from Melting Butter Studios’
- Available at least 2 full days per week for a 3 month period
- Willing and able to work in an unpaid capacity in return for invaluable experience
- Melting Butter will cover transportation costs to and from the studio
- Melting Butter will cover meal expenses on days you are present at the studio.
- Following a performance review, the intern will be considered for a paid staff position at Melting Butter Studios.
