Design Hotel Find: Hotel Droog Amsterdam

Droog Design, the iconic Dutch design force best known for its unique brand of dry, ironic design has created an almost unimaginable design and hospitality emporium. Hotel Droog as they call it is in fact a hotel offering one hotel room, but what makes its so interesting is its reverse design hotel concept where everything that makes boutique hotels like The Ace so enticing ”“ the fashion boutiques, cafes, restaurants, special event spaces – is amplified while the sleeping part of it is more like a very carefully considered addendum.
Once inside the multidisciplinary space, give yourself at least half a day to fully experience Droog’s special way of showcasing the best of Dutch and international design. The space invites you to meander through the building’s multiple retail stores, art gallery, day spa, fairy tale garden, restaurant, café, and of course if you’re lucky enough to score it, the singular hotel room.
Best Bit: Hotel Droog is literally Disneyland for design lovers
