“Fresh Fifteen†June Spotify Playlist | Jordan Rakei, Theo Croker, Jimmy Edgar, Disclosure & More
Each month on Melting Butter, a new Spotify playlist gets published with a tightly edited selection of the best new and classic tracks geared towards listeners with a sophisticated ear. To get notified as soon as they are released, make sure you subscribe to Twitter or Facebook.
The featured artist this month is Jordan Rakei with his superb debut album “Cloak”. The Australian-born pianist/vocalist now living in London has been on our radar since the brilliant “Groove Curse” release.
Rakei creates a very special blend of jazz-infused, soul, house & hip hop with his unique textured vocals laying beautifully on every track of this vibe-y, infectious album.
More Aussie action from producer Salute from the “Gold Rush EP” plus fresh new material from Theo Croker, Cullen Knight, A.CHAL, Gold Panda, Jimmy Edgar and a great Flume remix by Disclosure.
And, thanks as always for the constant source of quality worldwide musical inspirations from DJ Lefto, Gilles Peterson, J Rocc & Basement Soul.
Happy June from Melting Butter Studios
