London Food Find: Gelupo
Down an unassuming Soho backstreet, you’d do well to stumble upon Gelupo, the dreamy little gelateria sister of highly acclaimed Bocca Di Lupo restaurant.
With big claims that it puts the “dolce” in “la dolce vita”, Gelupo gives you a mouthwatering gelato experience that is oh-so-rare in a city as rainy as London.
Using choice English and Italian produce to make fresh gelato and sorbet daily, the hands-on executive chef personally develops, tests and tastes a myriad of unusual flavours. I devoured a cup of his best-selling chocolate & black pepper gelato, and marvelled at the huge flavour and high density (achieved by a low fat content and special churning technique).
Gelupo stays open late, making it the perfect pit stop post theatre, dinner or drinks.
