When in Maastricht, the cultural town on the southern tip of The Netherlands, minimalist design enthusiasts should pay a visit to Dutch designer Ellen:truijen’s first flagship boutique where she also resides and works.

The store’s restrained; even muted interior speaks to the brand’s design philosophy of timelessness, sobriety and simplicity and so too do the products curated within the store. Inside, design minded shoppers can peruse Ellen’s own collection of soft, supple leather bags and accessories as well as clothing, lingerie and accessories from local and up and coming designers such as POPcph, La Fille d’O and Gabriel+Guevara.

The attractive surroundings may even convince one to stay for coffee, tea and a taste of the Mast Brothers chocolates on sale.
