EXTRA FANCY, WILLIAMSBURG

If I really think about the establishments popping up around Williamsburg one theme comes to mind ”“ not so fancy and extra fancy. It’s a veritable hodgepodge of highbrow, lowbrow, cheap, expensive, dive-y and upscale and Extra Fancy is a bar/restaurant nodding its head to this wonderful characteristic of Williamsburg.

Don’t let the name fool you. While it’s upscale by clam shack standards, it’s still a casual and reasonably priced New England inspired seafood restaurant. Head here with a bunch of friends and make sure someone on the table is ordering the Cape Cod clam bake, a lobster roll and the fish and chips. After dinner, it’s just too easy to slip into the front bar area and kick on for very casual, fuss free drinks ”“ at Extra Fancy you’re in for an entertaining night

Best Bit: The backyard patio. Come summertime it’s where you’ll find me with a beer and a lobster roll in hand.
