NYC Restaurant Find: Pearl & Ash
When you dine in a restaurant with an inch-thick wine list you’d expect to be dropping some serious cash. You could go either way at Pearl & Ash, a progressive downtown wine bar serving up globally inspired small plates with a plenty of wow factor. For 10-15 bucks a plate and a 30-something dollar bottle of wine you’re in for a reasonably priced dinner but if you’re ballin’ for the night and prefer to splash out on a $1450 bottle of Burgundy, by all means ”“ while you’re at it, you might as well summon your Uber car home after dinner – surge pricing you say? Pfff!
Full disclosure on the music though, you’re here for the incredible wine and the boundary pushing food but you’re going to have to sit through Pearl & Ash’s best of karaoke hits on the loud speakers. Slight vibe killer, but nothing a well-curated Melting Butter playlist couldn’t solve 🙂
Best Bit: A Bowery approach to wining and dining, go fancy or go casual but definitely go unpretentious.
