NYC Restaurant Find: Red Rooster Harlem
RED ROOSTER, HARLEM
A little while ago Mikee and I went to see Chef Marcus Samuelsson of Red Rooster speak at the New York Public Library (check out the full video here). His passion for integrating his Swedish and African roots with his affection for Harlem and its local community took Red Rooster to the top of our must-try list. One visit on a very significant day (President Obama’s inauguration) for many of Harlem’s dapper locals took Red Rooster to the top of my favourite restaurants list.
Best Bit: Seeing everyone in their Sunday best ”“ I couldn’t take my eyes off almost everyone in the restaurant!
