Shopping in Le Marais easily work up an appetite. Luckily, the neighbourhood is home to the Marché des Enfants-Rouges, a gourmet food market that is home to Chez Taeko, an understated Japanese canteen.

Chez Taeko is a strictly Japanese food stall where Taeko Inai and her staff busily prepare the best bento boxes in the city. Each bento is topped with items from the regularly changing chalkboard menu but you can expect deliciousness like tonkatsu pork, grilled sardines and marinated fried chicken with a range of donburi to select from.

 Best Bit: This hotspot is definite favourite amongst Parisian lunch goers so eating here gives you that feeling that you’re in on a local secret.
